Game of Thrones IMDb Ratings and Their Correlation with Deaths [Infographic]

What do you think makes Game of Thrones fans most excited when they watch an episode of their favorite show? The team at Asher & Lyric has the answer to that question. Unsurprisingly, that answer is death. The more people dying, the better. But does that apply to season 8 of Game of Thrones? Let’s see!

SPOILERS BELOW!

As you can see in the infographic below, from season 1 to 7, Game of Thrones captivated its fans with epic battle scenes and major character deaths. Some of the most popular episodes feature at least one of these. While unpredictable plots were always a staple of the show, season 8 seems to lack something to make it as successful as the previous seasons, even if deaths abound in this one as well.

Episodes like “Rains of Castamere” (that featured the famous Red Wedding) and “Battle of the Bastards” (that gave us one of the most epic battles ever) seem to be fan favorites, while the lowest rated episode yet is episode 4 of season 8, “The Last of the Starks.”

You can learn more about how deaths influence the IMDb rating of different Game of Thrones episodes in their detailed article. They even included an interactive tool to help you sift through the episodes.
